Bear with me...

...while I consider making this VIB (Very Important Blog) open to invited readers only. LOL!

Hang on, what was it Groucho Marx said about clubs again?

  1. Wow,that is spooky, 10 minutes ago I typed out the Groucho quote you are refering to: "I don't care to belong to any social organisation that will accept me as a member." as I was doing a note about a collection of his letters for LibraryThing. Co-incidence or astral wavelengths?? call in Mulder and Scully.

  2. LOL! It happens to me all the time. I believe in ESP or whatever it's called.

    Aren't his letters hilarious?

  3. I guess I'm left wondering if you *SLAP* someone in a forest ... ?

  4. V, I've looked at your comment for so long that I've practically been hypnotized by those lovely perfume bottles (I have one like that, but it's clear with a silver collar and a blue top) and I still can't understand it. Can you enlighten me, please?

  5. The reference was to the quote, "If a tree falls in the forest, does it make a sound?" Therefore if Slap goes private, we will no long hear it. Seemed witty at the time, that's what I get for thinkin' so hard. LOL

  6. I never thought of that! It was very good, V; I'm sorry I didn't understand it. My loss.

I have no intention of going private (didn't even know one could until earlier today). I don't take myself that seriously. LOL!

  7. Invited readers only? Would you really do that? Who knows how many lurkers you have!

  8. Yes, but THIS slap is private, since we don't know precisely what you're talking about. LOL.

  9. TLI, didn't you read my previous comment? I think the idea is preposterous: isn't it obvious from the tone of my post? I know how many readers (I find the word 'lurkers' slightly unpleasant; I'd rather see those people as 'shy readers') I have - from the counter at the bottom of my blog. :-)

You should travel around the blogosphere more, L; what I'm talking about would become clear very quickly.

  11. You won't have to travel far.

Ridicule used to kill, you know. Back in the 18th century.

  12. I've just found myself locked out of the blog of someone on my blogroll - it's gone invitation only. I feel quite sad about that.

  13. Bah! What is the point of having a blog if you stop people from reading it? What do these people have to say that is so incredibly secret or 'important', anyway? It's so pretentious.
