My deadline was today, and I returned my translation (all 100,000 words of it) a couple of hours ago.

Free, free at last! If only...

I now have to do all the chores I’ve put aside over the last few weeks.

I’m feeling a bit dazed.

See you later. An awful lot of things have annoyed me recently and not being able to vent has been rather frustrating. Grrr!

  1. Yay for you! Must be nice to be done with that, or will you have edits to do?

  2. Thank you very much, R! I'm a bit numb right now. I've lived with that book for a very long time. I expect I'll get a set of proofs to read in due course.

  3. Mazel Tov!

I expect it will take a little time for the numbness to wear off - and then you can get on with all the things people, ahem, have pestered you to do.

  4. Thanks, S! I haven't forgotten. I will be steeped in RSC stuff for the next six weeks anyway (seeing all the Histories at the Roundhouse). Will be in touch. :-)

  5. ooh - sleep well. translating used to scramble my brains up like nothing else on earth!
