I despair

There are, I’m told, 400 million porn sites on the Net.

I haven’t got time to write any more because I want to start slapping them all now and that should take a while.

  1. Be careful: Some of them might ENJOY a slap.

  3. ROTFL!

The masochist (to the sadist): "Hurt me!"
    The sadist: "Nope!"

  4. Bela, that's my mom's favorite joke. I have no idea what that means about my mom, but I'd rather not know! :-)

  5. It's one of the best jokes ever, isn't it? Short and to the point.

If I were you, K, I definitely wouldn't delve further.... LOL!

  6. Here's my slap du jour--I witnessed the end of civilization this weekend. A man sitting next to me AT A FUNERAL not only received but accepted a cellphone call during the service. I really did nearly slap him. It's Monday and I'm still stunned.

  7. J, couldn't you be like Reverend Moon and hold a big convocation and issue one huge, collective slap? Just anticipating your need to conserve your energy during these Dog Days, darlin'.

  8. ROTFL,

J, I cannot picture you into S & M, but this could give the subject an entirely new meaning!

  9. Why so many? A little something for everyone I guess!

  10. Anonymous, mobile phones will definitely bring down civilization. When did we start needing to be reached at any time of the day and night?

L, this is London, remember?, we do not have dog days. It's just about warmish at the moment, otherwise, from the light you'd think it was November.

A, I see the number of porn sites as a reflection of men's lack of imagination, as well as rampant lust, etc. etc. (need to keep this clean).

  11. I only want to slap the ones that traffic in criminal abuse, myself. As far as I'm concerned, the rest can continue the time-honored tradition of giving randy men something to look at when they're restless. The Metropolitan Museum of Art has enough boring paintings of fleshy nude women to qualify as a porn site in itself. The dukes and such that commissioned those works would keep them behind curtains in their dens, and reveal them only with a lecherous flourish to certain visitors for a ribald thrill. In other words, the more things change, the more they stay the same.

  12. I think we're talking about exploitative porn. There's nothing wrong with eroticism. But 400 million is an extraordinary number. I wonder how websites are dedicated to, I don't know, French Renaissance poetry. LOL!
