And still they will not win
It's difficult to be aggravated about anything else today, so I'm slapping those people who tried to scare us again. They too will be cursed to the 12th generation.

Although I like to live by non-violence principle, the acts that hurt the innocent make me want not just to slap... Like N, I need to do some yoga and recenter myself.
ReplyDeleteGlad that you are fine. I was rather worried about you earlier today!
xoxo
I shall be non-violent in another life. In this one I believe in responding to violence not with violence but with whatever measures are necessary to stop it happening again.
ReplyDeleteWe'll be fine. xxx
I think this is an instance where you should add drawing and quartering to your slaps.
ReplyDeleteWhen, oh when, will a movement akin to Luther's break with the Catholic Church happen within the Islamic religion? Doubt is a gift. The possibility of doubt is what makes faith meaningful, not blind adherence to "religious authority" that causes people to harm innocent commuters on trains and buses. Forget a slap - I'm boxing ears, because it stings more!
I feel very despondent too, and I can see no end to it.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, Katie, but I probably wouldn't have chosen Luther as an example to follow, considering what was done in his name all through the ages.
Oh no, I just meant a Reformation of sorts... People do all sorts of wacky things under the banner of religion, so I'm not inclined to favor one over any others.
ReplyDeleteIn that case, K, I agree wholeheartedly. :-)
